Return to shortlist

Nominated for Category D: Young Heriage Angel Award - Best contribution by young people to a heritage project.

The Junior Park Rangers are passionate about and proud of Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.  They learn about and care for their site; carry out patrols; develop skills doing conservation surveys; cut back gorse to create fire breaks, restore damaged habitats; and participate in historical events. The Rangers design posters and presentations, set up stalls, hand out leaflets and engage with the general public. They are a real asset to the ranger service who are proud to have them as part of their team.
